The numbers might not seem to add up at first, but by the time you're getting 300 subs per month, you're going to be in the PLUS program, and potentially the level 2 PLUS program, meaning a 70/30 split instead of 50/50, so each sub nets you $4.50 instead of just $3, which is what makes 300 subs work

This kinda took off on twitter, so I figure I'll share here as well.

The federal minimum wage ($7.25/hr) is 300 subs per month (assuming equivalent to 40 hrs per week). 646 subs per month to match the California minimum wage of $16.50/hr. This also doesn't account for bits, donations, etc.
