Writer of horror fiction. Cares deeply about the role of ghosts in the JFK assassination. A kind of doppelganger of someone you know. Create and collect scrap paper in all its form. They / She 🇮🇪

He is, I know, supposed to be a brilliant novelist and has made quite a name as a poet. His poems have no capital letters in them, which is, I believe, the essence of modernity. His books are about unpleasant people leading lives of surpassing dullness.

Funny, sometime you're just tuned into different things

Leatherface as the coerced innocent, Jason as the eternally stunted child, Michael Myers as the empty child with a sense of sexual misdevelopment, Freddy Krueger as the child predator?

05.10.2025 19:28 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0One aspect of the original Frankenstein that I haven't seen adapted is that the narrator, Frankenstein, is a very young man. He creates and rejects the creature in a fit of youthful arrogance and panic. His nervous moral cowardice is easily read as that of a man in his early 20s.

That it makes Biden and leading Democrats look bad reflects the failing of the Dem leadership, not a failing of Tapper's. Trump 2.0 is squarely on Biden's circle's heads.
