The writing sin I just can't kick is throwing the word "overhead" after "the sky." The kite went gliding through the sky overhead, etc. Where else would the sky be?

I cannot say that I have at any time had a great admiration for Mr Raymond West. He is, I know, supposed to be a brilliant novelist and has made quite a name as a poet. His poems have no capital letters in them, which is, I believe, the essence of modernity. His books are about unpleasant people leading lives of surpassing dullness.

One aspect of the original Frankenstein that I haven't seen adapted is that the narrator, Frankenstein, is a very young man. He creates and rejects the creature in a fit of youthful arrogance and panic. His nervous moral cowardice is easily read as that of a man in his early 20s.

141 pages in and I've got to say - Jake Tapper's "Original Sin" is a good book and feels like exhaling after a long held breath. That it makes Biden and leading Democrats look bad reflects the failing of the Dem leadership, not a failing of Tapper's. Trump 2.0 is squarely on Biden's circle's heads.

This is a fine way to plot out a story structure right
