My photo shows part of a limestone wall panel carved in bas relief from the Fifth Dynasty mortuary temple of king Userkaf at Saqqara, Old Kingdom, 2465-2458 BC. It shows a Hoopoe, a crested bird with black and white wing pattern, and an ibis, with long curved beak, amongst papyrus plants in the marshes of the river Nile. My photo was taken in 2022 at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

Seed packets for sprouting broccoli, sprouting cauliflower, winterbor kale, black kale, leeks, and leaf lettuce.

It's dark and raining, but I'm going to put on my big girl pants and sow some seeds. Gotta get moving, even if I'm concerned we'll have deer problems this summer.

I was sent home with exercises, which I've been doing, and ever since I've been subtly sore all up and down my back and sleeping like hell.

Two sections! 20 active minutes.

Saturday! Sunny and not freezing, so I'm heading back out to put another section of the sunny borders right. Bonus today is that I'm wearing my FitBit again, so I get to see how hard the work really is. High hopes I will "deserve" to kick back for the rest of the day afterward.

This cat doesn't have a clipped ear though, so we don't know her story. She isn't eager to be friends.

We live out in the country and a lot of our neighbors have barn cats, I'm sure... our local humane society has cats up for adoption for that reason specifically. I wonder if we're luring other people's barn cats away with our sweet, sweet kitten chow.

If there's nothing better to watch, then indeed. We've been struggling with that recently, though we discovered Shrinking, which has given us a brief reprieve.

We watched the first episode last night and were not convinced. We loved Derry Girls.

I am once again fantasizing about respectable employment doing something that benefits society in a tangible way
