Dat bevestigt de UvA donderdag aan nieuwsagentschap Belga. De Sutter heeft de universiteit laten weten dat zij zich onder de huidige omstandigheden terugtrekt en de uitreiking niet wil laten doorgaan.

"Hallucineren" chosen as Van Dale's word of 2025 as AI gives term new meaning The editors of Van Dale have chosen “hallucineren” as the Word of the Year 2025. According to the dictionary, artificial intelligence has given the word, Dutch for “hallucinating,” a new meaning.

'Hallucinate' has been chosen as the Dutch word of the year... Again building on this anthropomorphic notion that LLMs etc can make up or hallucinate content. This implies they have a capacity to perceive, which they don’t.

📈 Our research underscores the importance of media labs in fostering a culture of innovation, essential for the digital transformation of journalism & the resilience of European democracies.

🔍 Some key findings:
- Media labs serve as catalysts for experimentation and innovation, providing "safe zones" for interdisciplinary teams to ideate and test new approaches.
- Successful labs act as sensors for detecting trends, contributing to strategic foresight and institutional agility.

📅 In 2022, (yes, peer review can sometimes take long) we conducted interviews with leaders from 12 diverse EU media labs, uncovering three key archetypes:
- Labs focused on creativity and originality.
- Labs driven by business validation.
- Labs interpreting innovation through educational programs.
