As PAXU panel pitches are due soon, I wanted to share that I'd love to be considered for your panels about GMing, worldbuilding, game design, and/or mentoring/teaching. I have a decade+ experience as a novelist, worked in publishing, and do game design (latest: Additional Designer for Daggerheart).

Any chance there's a bunch of people who work in the physical TTRPG AP space who would be interested on being on a panel about TTRPG AP creation (would love to pitch a PAX U panel ft producers, set and sound designers etc from both large and small games)

One thing that doing creative work teaches you is that ideas are worth nothing. Anybody can have an idea. In a writers room you have to come up with a hundred ideas a day, and most of those don’t make the page. It’s the work of making something that gives it value. The patina of humanity.

The last job is pissed because I bought coffee with my own money and am invoicing them for it instead of using the company card

Curious because it's hit or miss on small shoots if they give you a card or not and I don't think it deserved me getting a two paragraph nagging from this producer

Is it crazy that if someone texts me a crew coffee order before the shoot that the general assumption is that they want me to get the coffee and have it ready before they get there.

I wont pretend I know him super well but his whole situation seems incredibly out of character for him based on the conversations I've had with him. And Saige continues to blatently misrepresent the situation....

One of the rare people to go out of his way to say hello to me, and ask about my projects. Never treated me or anyone else like he was above them, just because he'd been on certain shows or had certain friends. There was never any ego about him. We bonded over being autistic.

For what it's worth, I've never met Surena but Omar has always been the kindest person at every event I've seen him at.

This is horrifying, that a false accusation has gotten as far as it has and for someone to continue misrepresenting the situation as recently as last night, is disgusting.

But reflecting on it now, I've seen how fast rumors can spread and kill careers and relationships, especially in more niche spaces.

Now it wasn't anything specific, but it was enough that I had the sense something was really off. I didn't push, I exist on the fringes of the TTRPG space anyways and the person who told me didn't seem comfortable telling me any more, so I let it go.

I first heard about what Saige had said about Omar last month. From a friend at a con in Canada, that had nothing to do with TTRPGs. Thats how widespread this rumor has gone

A reminder that Hydee Feldstein-Soto is an abusive alcoholic who tried so hard to pretend to be the DA and prosecute student protestors that the *LAPD* had to send her a letter to tell her to back the fuck off

Like in my experience, whisper network based cliques is just most entertainment industries in a nut shell. Everything is networking based and since everyone in the TTRPG AP industry kind of knows everyone, it's a delicate game to play.

I feel like it's just an off shoot of what already happens in the greater entertainment industry. The only reason anyone in this situation is seeing consequences is because someone got too loud and the pro TTRPG AP scene is incredibly small so gossip goes a long way
