I bought a very cheap Stanley No. 6 #woodworking hand plane off eBay that's in remarkable shape. It's definitely post-war but before they got super chintzy. I'm not a fan of the kidney shaped lever cap, but for something that will just live in a bushcraft toolbox, you can't beat the price.

I will probably never forgive WotC for the Spiderman set, but what I've seen so far, the new Avatar: the Last Airbender set is pretty good. I have a jumpstart deck of Siege Engines/Swordmaster (WB), and it's crushing. We'll see how I feel about it after diving into some Standard.

I still think it's funniest to end it right there.

Large and medium veritas both take the 1/8 inch. Only needed for the inside dados that are less than a quarter thick.

Same thing. Yes, you can saw. Just a chisel and a router plane to clean it up. Just like you would do in large scale.

I have a 1/8 blade on my router plane that I use (plus a knife and chisel) to make all of the various dados.

At this point, I'd be interested in patronizing any Company that would affirmatively promise "We don't use AI and will never push it on you".
