A friend who turned 80 today thanked me for 'not making me feel ancient'.
I spent so much valuable time as a child with the elders in my family, I've never considered it strange to have friends who are twice my age or more. Those are the people who taught me the most and treated me as an equal.

Thanks to Rob Grant, for making something that brought together a bunch of nerds from different backgrounds, at a time when we were still very much polarised and separated in many other walks of life.

The original opening title, the somber theme music, the loneliness & hopelessness of being the only remaining human in the universe…all made the 1st series of RW so good. The later series lost me with an overpopulated universe & showy plots. The low budget S1 was more like an existentialist play
