and none of that will ever happen. and I think sometimes, maybe you only get so lucky once in a lifetime, and I'll never get a second chance. I wouldn't regret it, how could I ever, but I still pine away

every time I think of things I would like to do with my life, he's the person I wanna do it with. I want to travel with him, I want to experience new things with him, I want to watch the sunrise with him and go camping and drink seasonal coffees together and go to bars and dance and and and

I'm sad sometimes that his light burned out so quick, because he deserved to live as long a life as anybody. I daydream sometimes about what our life would be like if only he'd had time. Cooking for him, sitting cuddled together, what would he think of this show or that game.

the grief has gotten easier to carry, it's been nearly 15 years, but I still miss him. I miss staying up all night talking to him, I miss his kindness, I miss loving someone, having someone to share the beauty of all the facets of life with, a companion.

it really sucks that I have nothing left of him. just an old phone with text messages on it. I carry him with me everywhere I go, he's in every line I put on a page, every breath I breathe, every beat of my heart, but nobody knows it
