Oh they won’t have a legal claim. They however can complain to the university who would then come get us. This is my point : being technically correct does not excuse the students from their actions or consequences of their actions

There is plenty of ire to go around. I am allowed to be pissed at the students’ money grab as much as I am pissed at the govt’s actions which led to this point

The reality is that we are still writing reference letters for students who had graduated. Should we stop? They certainly didn't pay for that.

I understand that because of this lawsuit the next time a crisis hits the universities will 1. Flog us harder so they don’t get sued and 2. Academics will feel a lot less inclined to work beyond their means (and yes we did) because of that
