draconym on tumblr - I think it sucks that you have to go to so many different kinds of doctor to take care of yourself. It's the 21st century. I should be able to go to a single office where they scan me with a big xerox machine and tell me what I'm allergic to and why my tummy hurts and if I have any any cancer or cavities or if my glasses prescription has changed. And then I should get a sticker.

reasons why chronically ill are so tired - They're chronically ill - 4.014 doctor appointments - Taking a shower is like running a marathon - Medical admin is at least a part-tim job - Doctors Keep taking all their blood lol - Medical trauma drains your energy - Masking your illness IS exhausting - Did mention they're ill - Advocating for yourself IS also exhausting - Constant pain drains your energy too

This is exactly what I'll be facing at retirement. Did a 2nd degree in my 40's and accumulated a big loan due to mental health issues. My income is 33k gross a year and part is benefit. I'm paying 20% tax, ACC levies, insurance, student loans, rent, long term medical costs etc.

The latest addition to the cat cafe, a beautiful grey tabby called Isla, approximately 7 months old. Very playful and confident.

The long term resident cat Pippin. He was born with a disability that means he has to be hand fed. His coat is stained because he can't clean himself.
