I only joined the Greens a year ago (although I've party voted for them for years) and have been very impressed by their democratic processes and inclusivity. There are many ways to express disagreement without complaining anonymously to the media and making spurious claims about the process #nzpol

Kieran was ejected because he told the truth:
"Failing to require Winston Peters to withdraw and apologise for something that was quite clearly an offensive comment, when you have required that of other members — indeed, other party leaders — runs the risk of you applying different standards"

Brownlee lays down the law on Winston's racism, but refuses to force him to withdraw and apologise because "the moment has passed". Of course, he applied different rules to Chlöe Swarbrick back in August, because he's a partisan, misogynistic hypocrite.
