Volunteer Today we need your help to take action on the biggest issues facing New Zealand.

The ground campaign won, and also in the New York mayoralty race.

The same efforts are needed here, which means volunteering in the thousands

Let's fucking goπŸ’š

Justice Department withheld and removed some Epstein files related to Trump An NPR investigation finds the public database of Epstein files is missing dozens of pages related to sexual abuse accusations against President Trump.

The US Justice Department withheld testimony that Donald Trump sexually abused a girl when she was 13 or 14 - according to a source who viewed unredacted Epstein files.

This is the worst scandal in US history and should be the biggest news story on the planet right now.

Offering an MP money for something for any act in their capacity as an MP - like resigning - is a crime punishable by 7 years in prison www.legislation.govt.nz/act/public/1...

The Press framing this as a puff piece and not "crooked developer tries to bribe MPs" says everything about the absolute state of mainstream political journalism in this country.

Will Scoop,, Ryan Bridges, Democracy Project, Taxpayers Union & all those who fanned lies about Tamatha Paul, WCC, and the Wellington Moa Point disaster now apologise?

But when councils spend the money they need to on infrastructure, including water the TPU runs media campaigns complaining about wasteful council spending. It needs to be noted that the NZ media is utterly complicit in this smoke & mirrors.

How Wellington's Moa Plant Disaster Turned Into A Hatchet Job NZCPR, founded by former ACT Party MP Muriel Newman published an article in Scoop putting the Moa Plant sewage disaster at the feet of Tamatha Paul. But they omitted critical context. Opinion/analysis

I only joined the Greens a year ago (although I've party voted for them for years) and have been very impressed by their democratic processes and inclusivity. There are many ways to express disagreement without complaining anonymously to the media and making spurious claims about the process #nzpol

β€œThe focus here was making sure that our candidates were ready to be members of Parliament ready to contribute in a Green government,” Swarbrick said.

Candidates needed to be ready not just to serve as ministers, but to have support networks in place for what would inevitably be a huge amount of online hate and the β€œawful workplace” of Parliament.

β€œIt is really important to us that people are supported and ready to go in every sense of the word. The environment of politics is gruelling and full noise. ...We have seen immense pressure placed on individual people. It’s an incredibly toxic and awful workplace.”

The Green Party is finally taking its job of candidate selection, vetting, and pastoral care seriously and it is causing turmoil among the people who saw nothing wrong with the previous status quo that resulted in the party losing three MPs in two years thepost.co.nz/politics/360...

Labour MP ejected from House after 'trifling' over Peters' remark Kieran McAnulty ordered out after challenging Speaker Gerry Brownlee's decisions on comments made by Winston Peters.

Kieran was ejected because he told the truth:
"Failing to require Winston Peters to withdraw and apologise for something that was quite clearly an offensive comment, when you have required that of other members β€” indeed, other party leaders β€” runs the risk of you applying different standards"

Brownlee lays down the law on Winston's racism, but refuses to force him to withdraw and apologise because "the moment has passed". Of course, he applied different rules to ChlΓΆe Swarbrick back in August, because he's a partisan, misogynistic hypocrite.

A month later, in February 2025, the xenophobia, homophobia, and racism associated with Peters got even worse. Beyond Parliament: Antipathy’s amplification through political speech in Aotearoa New Zealand sanjanah.wordpress.com/2025/05/18/b... Documented evidence of unacceptable, dangerous speech.

The anti-cycleways talking points and spittle-flecked Facebook rants are putting cyclists at risk from aggressive car drivers. They get so angry and feel entitled to take revenge, cutting bike riders off at roundabouts, parking in bike lanes, close passing, yelling "get off the road". It's bullying.

Tangata Tiriti whanau, this is where we need to be a buffer. We need to be a bold, loud buffer so when these buffoons try hijacking the conversation we need to stand up and tell them to shut up.
Yes, they will then tell us to not be divisive, so the response need to be - you first.

Straight up we have a coordinated, intentional pattern that explicitly intends to push overwhelmingly wahine Māori from public and political life - not just from members of the public, but hugely from our media outlets. Do you know how fast this racist disinformation turns into outright fascism?

β€œRooted in racism” Hostility and disinformation overshadow Moa Point public meeting More than 300 people packed into a public meeting on Monday night to demand answers over the ongoing Moa Point wastewater disaster.

As per usual, a loud and feral minority hijacking the conversation with misinformation.

Also seeing a disturbing & very familiar pattern of hostility toward Tamatha Paul. Our community must stand behind her. We can’t allow another Māori leader to be worn down and pushed out. #nzpol
