The FGC must be really nice based on the ways they tell me the Smash community is different from it. No complaints about any character at all, especially guest characters. And everyone has every other game’s terminology down pat.

It does seem that Banjo’s the only Smash character whose slander didn’t even slow down when they got in, apart from kneejerk backlash.

That said I don’t know if “grifter” is the word I’d use. That implies 1. they’re being willfully dishonest and 2. they’re making money off of it.

It's not about the presence of voice acting, it's about the goal of being "cinematic". The Tales series has had voice acting since the Super Nintendo and that actually enabled a much more unique form of storytelling with the skit system. This example is arguably *less* cinematic than FF7 despite VAs
