It (seemingly) being dubbed and animated first and foremost for English is an interesting choice. That plus the guns and cars gives the impression he's particularly gunning for the western audience, but that's just speculation on my part. Might not be a bad idea.

there sure are a lot of YouTubers who talk about Yakuza and, understandably, have largely the same things to say about Kiwami 3 (bad) and Lost Judgement (good)

due credit to Fate/Extra, doing it six times per turn and watching them play out in sequence makes for some flashy-looking fights

like Pokémon is slightly analogous to RPS but I’m talking when there’s exactly three attack types plus some skills outside of that

IMO, overworld platforming and battle customization (like the badge system) are critical elements, arguably more so than the timed hits.

Distinct enemy defenses (ie wings, spike helmets) are also a pretty big part of the design of one, I’d say.
