The government must use the Parliament Act to overrule the small
Number of peers looking to run the Assisted Dying bill out of time to pass. The Parliament Act allows bills backed by MPs in two successive sessions, but rejected by peers, to pass into law without the approval of the House of Lords.

Experts Warn: 2C Climate Risks Greater Than Predicted Experts warn policymakers about severe climate risks as global warming approaches 2C, stressing urgent action to prevent economic and societal collapse.

Climate threats are significantly worse than thought even a few years ago - with 2°C now likely by 2050 without much more urgent action.
