Scientific racism and 19th century eugenics are unspeakably horrifying topics to contemplate, but of course modern capitalism has innovated to get even worse.

One major difference is what our children are fetishized for in these systems: Indians were perceived as good genetic stock to introduce into whiteness, as long as our culture could be stripped away and sterilized. Trans kids are instead just potential sex objects for men like Epstein.

This is where the policies mirror modern transphobia: exterminate the adults, indoctrinate the children by any means necessary, and all deaths along the way are necessary and acceptable.

The policy of these schools was outlined explicitly by the man who founded the first of them, Richard Henry Pratt: “Kill the Indian in him, and save the man.” The children who could not or did not adapt to white cishet Christian standards were killed and buried in mass graves in school grounds.

They were put through mass programs of reeducation and indoctrination we now remember under the far too neutral sounding name of "Indian Schools". Children were violently abused, forbidden from speaking their native language, forcibly converted into Christians, and then sold to white families.

One might think that due to the obvious racial difference that the white settlers would view Indian children as just as much targets for extermination as their parents, but this was surprisingly incorrect. Instead, these children were actually coveted, kidnapped by whites who murdered their parents

The current treatment of trans people across the world doesn't actually remind me of Nazi Germany: the policies are not *just* exterminationist. They're instead similar to the policies of American settlers and now they answered "The Indian Question": kill the adults, convert the children.

This isn't true for like 90 reasons and as someone who is a robinhood/zorro obsessive (both historic inspirations and the legends themselves) it's the weirdest fucking reading ever. It'd be better and more accurate if he had pointed out how radically different serf's were compared to citizens.
