Asked Trae Young if watching 20 games changed what he wants to contribute:

"I see certain things that our team is doing really good, and I want to keep allowing our team to do them...But then there are times obviously where we're struggling...and I just want to make it easier."

From Hawks:

Kristaps Porzingis, on coming off the bench.

"Obviously, it's not what I love, you know? But I think it makes sense in limited minutes, and I will do whatever is best for the team. When I say those words, I really mean it. I'm here just to help this team win."

For two games in a row, Hawks' opponents have started the game with centers guarding Dyson Daniels.

Daniels finished yesterday with 22 points. He made a bunch of floaters while going 1-for-4 from three.

From Quin Snyder, Dyson Daniels and Jalen Johnson postgame:

N'Faly Dante scored 33 points on 16 of 17 shooting for College Park tonight.

Here, he quipped about watching Jalen Johnson and Onyeka Okongwu in reply to a question from @BenGrunertBball.

"I told Jalen that I'm tired of seeing those little numbers. I want to see big ones."

Zaccharie Risacher, talking about the team's mindset:

"We don't want teams to want to play us."

"We want to be a difficult team to face, and that comes with a lot of responsibility and a lot of physicality."

Quin Snyder, talking about incorporating new players:

β€œThe style that KP played in Boston was very different. The style that Nickeil played in Minnesota was very different.”

Nickeil Alexander-Walker was born in Toronto, and I think he follows baseball the way that I do: Very loosely.

Will he be tracking the Blue Jays/Dodgers World Series?

Quin Snyder on working with Dyson Daniels when he got here:

β€œSometimes you need someone to believe in you. I think he knows that I do.”

Wallace also quipped:

"I want to thank especially my teammates just for trusting me when I'm on the court now. All that (mimicking his teammates) 'Hey, hey! Give me the ball. Let me see the ball.' I ain't got to do all of that no more, you know? They just trust me to be the QB on the floor."

After getting his standard NBA contract, Wallace also thanked all of his teammates, Onsi Saleh, Kyle Korver, Quin Snyder and both of his G League head coaches: Ryan Schmidt and Steve Klei.

Keaton Wallace:

"I want to credit coach Ash Smith for working with me on both sides. He has been my (player development) coach all of last year. We've been grinding for a long time – getting consistent reps, being in here after practice and at night."

β€œWhat (Zaccharie) is getting better at is making really quick reads … The variety in his game offensively is growing, where it’s not just him making a jump shot or running in transition – those are two really important things for us … You’re seeing more variety in the things he can do.”

Kristaps, on playing with Jalen Johnson:

β€œHis physicality, it creates a lot of problems for the other team. A lot of times (with) him just downhill and getting to the rim, even if he doesn’t score, it brings so many people in that I can follow for the rebound.”

Zaccharie Risacher was asked about viewing the game from a different standpoint: spectator.

β€œFirst of all, it was really great to be in the arena. I missed State Farm. I missed the fans, too.”

The last couple of seasons it was almost like you could just lay them out if you want. 'Ah, the ball already left!' This season is going to be again a little bit different, but it's a small adjustment."

Kristaps Porzingis, on the new high-five point of emphasis:

"Now it's a little bit of an adjustment with the shooter: you can't really like punch him anymore after the ball has left, you know?

Then he started laughing:

Dyson Daniels said that to counter being guarded by a big, which he noted might be more prevalent with Porzingis around, Quin Snyder wants the Hawks to play in transition in order to take advantages of cross-matches.
