Every once in a while I encounter someone driving by in an intentionally loud motorcycle blaring music from on-board speakers designed to be heard over the souped-up roar and I marvel at the variety inherent in the human condition that allows both myself & such a person to exist as the same species

A bright open star cluster of blue stars lighting up dense, streaky dust lanes. There's seven very bright blue stars leading to the "Seven Sisters" name for the Pleiades cluster.

The Pleiades, the nearest star cluster to Earth, as seen from my driveway. They're about 444 light years away towards the constellation Taurus.
