One thing I keep hearing from aid agencies working in Gaza:
Hunger affects everything.
It slows recovery from airstrike injuries.
It exacerbates the poor hygiene in displacement camps.
And it weakens the doctors, nurses and emergency workers, who have to care for everyone.
Two very grim milestones:
- The death toll in Gaza is now 59,921, according to Gaza's Palestinian Ministry of Health, on the cusp of 60,000.
- For the first time,Β two Israeli humanitarian organizationsΒ publicly stated that Israel's war in the Gaza Strip amounts to genocide.
After Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu once again denied there's famine in the Gaza Strip - calling it "a bold-faced lie" - Donald Trump appears to disagree.
"You can't fake the images of real starvation coming out of Gaza," he said today in Scotland.

www.msnbc.com/the-beat-wit...
Just as the ceasefire came into effect this morning...
Not one, not two, but THREE air raid sirens here in Tel Aviv all of them in the space of an hour.
Unclear about these details.
It looks like Israel will have a twelve hour period after Iran ceases firing before it too has to stop striking Iran.
Then both sides keep their guns silent for 12 hours before the war officially ends.
That sounds like quite a lopsided deal.
Israel just announced a new evacuation order for large parts of Iranβs capital.
This comes even as the clock ticks down for the start of a ceasefire.
Shades of Netanyahu.
Just like Israel's leaders began their Iranian adventure last week speaking only about Iran's nuclear infrastructure, they are now speaking openly about regime change in Iran.
For Trump, it took less than 24 hours for him to shift toward the regime change.
