I despise legislative fights but I've unfortunately had to be part of many of them at the state level over the years. And what I can tell you is that NOTHING happens to stop bad bills unless PUBLIC PRESSURE IS RAMPED UP TO 1000%. That pressure can only build if the public is INFORMED.

Never assume that you know a stranger or a friend's financial situation. You don't. So if you ask for donations & people don't give, you really need to keep it moving. There are 1000 reasons why folks don't give and those reasons aren't your business. Thank those who do give & move on.

Something you learn from reading history is that there was no "THE" abolitionists as it relates to U.S. based chattel slavery abolitionism. These folks were at each other's necks CONSTANTLY. They did not agree. They had vicious political breakups, they supported diff tactics. Movements are messy AF.
