Have you considered epic scale? My Crimson Fists are just post founding and use a bunch of Imperial Fist vehicles that haven't been repainted yet.

I'd say go for it. Makes you happy, makes them happy. Plus you can swing some narrative about them fighting on the same world 10,000 years later for some reason (if you're into that kinda thing)
