and then his father came back to haunt him in the *worst* way possible.
granted, hyo was able to be himself in his last moments but still his father managed to take him away from his brother bc his ambitions to rule was too much.
idk anything abt their childhood (besides the first game's manga covering it but all i know is that it ain't pretty when their father was around), but kyosuke got his brother back and managed to reconcile with him w/o any interference only for a year.

hearing the 2k25 remastered ver. of the first part of taiyo high school ending ended up making my brain having a LOT to say abt kyosuke during the whole story event
