Over all I am really happy with them. Shades did end up a lil more off white than I wanted. But I plan to dress them up more with curtains/drapes, so you won't notice it as much (least I won't, haha).

Blinds and shades installed this morning. Gonna take a while to get used to them, since I've went so long without having any, lol.

The void

Blinds and shades getting installed tomorrow. You know you're an adult when you're excited about that.

Still waiting on the one window replacement. Installers said the manufacturer offer no communication after "we have your request" and then it just eventually shows up.

Even though today's ruling is good, you know damn well prices won't come back down.

The February thaw is always a nice lil treat. March can be still kinda miserable.

You can tell everyone has been itching for some warm weather. Few days in the 50s and everyone is out and about.

Maybe, just maybe with this Discord ID fiasco, people will bring back wikis and forums. Strongly dislike that its created unsearchable walled gardens of just about everything.

Waiting mode

Shades and blinds scheduled to be installed. Replacement window for the one that cracked should be arriving soon (tm).

Be nice to finally have shades/blinds and get some privacy, been patiently waiting since September when I had the new windows installed.

Thought I heard them howling last night

I'm ready for some warmer weather, at least back in the 20s. These single digit highs and wind chills below zero are rough.

One positive of this cold spell, it's forced me to try and balance the heat runs in the house. Previous owner had all the dampers wide open. Also found another 8x8 hole in the cold air return in the basement. Bathroom also has the wrong size boot, so its blowing air into the wall cavity.

Window people were out. They felt pretty confident that the ice/frost build up was coming from failing mortar around the lintels. Kinda annoying as I had a company already do a ton of tuck pointing shortly after moving in.

Time to add another tally mark to the number of successful trips around the explosion in the sky.

Finally got shades/blinds ordered for the windows. Got set back in fall from car and vet bills. Be nice to have things to start to look a bit more complete.

Window people are supposed to be out this week yet to address a couple problems with the windows themselves (no eta on the replacement yet)

It's the small victories. Finally replaced the old broken doorbell (it was also wired completely wrong).

I've hardly worn this suit in quite a while, gotta least wear it one more time before the year is over. #pooltoy

Holiday gatherings are done, generally good. Short break before birthday season kicks off in the family (5 in January).

Remember, you only have to wear that silly holiday outfit for your family once a year.

So much for new windows...

Low grade fevers are the worst, the kinds that make your whole body just kinda ache, including your teeth.

Called the window people. Noticed some ice build up one window, another frosts up in a corner. Along with some noticeable gaps in the exterior caulking. The ice and frost makes me concerned if they adequately insulated *any* of the windows.
