The older I get too the more I’ve come to realize chores aren’t punishments, it’s self care / a gift you’re giving to your future self to enjoy. We’ve still got power today but it was absolutely worth busting ass yesterday so we can just chill and enjoy our clean home / the chili I made etc etc

Spending the day vacuuming/doing laundry/running the dishwasher etc, just utilizing every appliance I’ll miss if the winter storm knocks out our power lmao (hopefully it won’t……but still)
