An obscure detail in early Pokemon games:

In the Pewter City Pokemart in Gen 1, there is an NPC complaining that he was ripped off by a Magikarp salesman. But if you visit the same building in Gen 2, you can find the same person bragging about a Gyarados he's trained.

I tried listening to one of those "Video game facts to fall asleep to" videos while working, and like halfway through the narrator just started rewording the facts from the beginning.

Did they just assume that everyone listening was gonna actually fall asleep and not notice? 😑

Something funny about the Gen 2 rematch mechanic, is that Hiker Anthony gets a level 18 Machamp for his first rematch, which becomes a Machoke in all later rematches.

This is "fixed" in HeartGold/SoulSilver, where Machamp is used only for his highest level rematch.

I've been learning how to do some really game breaking things in a Pokémon game lately. I really want to yap about the specifics, but that would completely spoil what I'm working on. 😭

It's been a pretty rocky year for me, and I've had to delay some plans again due to my health.

I've been playing Mega Man 1 again, and pulled off a perfect no damage Gutsman fight, with only the buster.

I genuinely thought everyone knew that Gameboys don't have built-in system clocks.

Do younger people just think all game consoles had this? I did not think this was something I even needed to explain to viewers...

Went out for sushi with friends for the first time. The guy working there was super excited that we enjoyed it, and it was very wholesome. 😊

I realized today that it's been almost 2 years since I've even played a Mega Man game...

This has been a very difficult period in my life, and I put so many things on hold. But I'd like to get back to that series again soon, and make more videos of it alongside my other ideas.

I always found it interesting that in Pokemon Gen 2, one of the most common NPC sprites was just the waiters from Gen 1.

There were only two waiters in the entire game, but Gamefreak decided they were perfect to place all over Johto.

I see this comment on every video I've ever made. People so badly want me to just read them a wiki page for a few minutes, not understanding what my videos are even about.

Did you know Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal have a special sprite when you Surf with a Pikachu, like Yellow version did?

This is only legitimately possible to see if you transferred a Surfing Pikachu from a Gen 1 game, which was only available through events and Pokemon Stadium 1.

Can't afford new Pokemon game right now. I'll just have to use my imagination. 🥲

The EXP. ALL is a very functional and useful item in the Gen 1 Pokemon games.

I show and explain this screen in every video, but not a single soul ever hears me.
