I had three Glitch sandpit websites for creative coding. I’m spinning up a blog just now and it’s fairly easy. Val town seems like a new home for a glitch users. 😻

vals have multiple files! and folders! you can clone them locally! and use cursor! or vim! or townie! which itself is a val! which means it can edit itself! code search & our blog are also now vals! everything's a val! you get a val! you get a val! everyone gets a val!

Yeah, I have a lot of problems with their approach over the last few years, but coming from Glitch it’s really hard to make the economics of giving free compute work. I’ve been most impressed w www.val.town in this space recently, really able to keep the surface area of the product small

Hoping this can serve as a starting template for anyone trying to figure out how to make little ATProto apps.
