Almost all of the accounts sharing fake videos of the attack on Iran featured blue checkmarks, meaning X is profiting from this.

Much like broadcast news, newspaper ownership is tricky. Per Harvard, there are ~672 newspapers in the US and more than half are owned by seven parent media companies (a few that are notoriously RW). Independent papers are dropping like flies. This would be a nearly impossible feat.

Libel law is FASCINATING in and of itself. I read not long ago about libel in fiction. Yeah, that's a thing.
