I don't think this has ever been publicly announced by anyone that isn't in Jona's camp, but if this is true, we have probably seen the last of Jonathan Rodriguez in a Timbers kit.

One thing that I haven't seen mentioned with the Jonathan Rodriguez injury is the potential for him to terminate his contract since he didn't play 50% of the season. His agent mentioned this clause when he was signed.

So a new DP may not need to be TAM-able...even more roster flexibility

Thinking about the potential impact of Fridays game vs SJ for the Timbers and am feeling giddy.

IF the Timbers win, we are guaranteed to move up in the table, since MIN and SD play each-other. If they draw and we win, 2nd place is ours. So obviously root for a Timbers win and SD/MIN draw

HOWEVER... I do believe these players should be getting more recognition for how well they have played, and 1-2 should be in Austin for the All-Star game. This team was supposed to be a play-in contender; now we are on pace for the best regular season in club history. ALL WITH ONLY ONE DP! #RCTID

I do not think that all four players will get All star nods; it would be unrealistic to expect a team 4th in the west and 8th in the supporters shield to get that level of respect. We have to be realistic here.. Portland is a small market that wont get the votes of other clubs
