I am a firm believer that the “let them theory” is actually a right pipeline especially for women. The idea that you just let people do bad things and “don’t let it get to you” opens the door to “just submit you’ll be happier” absolutely not.

Which brings me to my next point, I do enjoy slasher films when they’re campy and crazy and fun to watch with people.. but as a whole I don’t find someone coming up to me to stab me scary. Blood doesn’t get me either. There needs to be a psychological element that most don’t have sorry

I love foreign horror because I love what culturally impacts what the people find scary. How religion, spirituality, and superstition in every culture changes how a horror has to be made. It’s an art and that art needs social and emotional awareness
