Like my current thing is I want to learn to mill flour at home. It saves money and reduces waste.

It’s calming because it’s chaos. You learn to accept and understand your own chaos. I don’t follow recipes I read a million ways a meal could be made, understanding how it needs to be handled and making it my own.

People don’t get it. I love cooking NOT in a “I make aesthetic southern food for my husband because I like doing my womanly duties” like I’m in The Help. I like cooking like The Bear. I love understanding food and the constant need for attention you have to do with food. It’s therapy. It’s calming

it is genuinely tragic to me seeing people not able to be outside and enjoy crisp cold months with snow everywhere. i get the opposite of seasonal depression this time of year
