On my way to RCVS Fellowship Day tomorrow.
Placid,without feet
Glasgow Central pigeons pick,
Tomorrow's unsung
Every time I come into the station, I observe the pigeons and admire them. With a chronic ill health condition myself I strive to emulate their approach.

"I always have to say, go back to the doctors, because I'm not a doctor, and yes, I look at calves and cows, but it's not the same as humans!"
Excellent initiative by veterinary surgeons, signposting for their farmers to medical services, in the field of One Health.

FB 7 & 8 years ago memories of meeting Zoe Ball on the train home after November RCVS council meetings. Zoe is always so friendly and down-to-earth. It looks like we now share a bond to pancreatic cancer awareness, Zoe through her Mumโs very sad passing and my wife, Colette as a 10 year survivor.

Excellent random edifice in a magical leafy lane. One day we must bring a wee table & chairs, some nibbles, a bottle of wine and have lunch here.

BCVA Congress, representing BSAVA. Terrific experience with great discussions & talks. Couldn't resist photo opportunity with the amazing student BCVA stewards. Representing 8 vet schools across UK, eager to get into agricultural practice, they're a credit to our veterinary education system #BCVA

I'm glad to see my impromptu pep talk to the Aberdeen football players other day at BSAVA Alba must have helped. The team won their first game of the season on the weekend, beating Dundee 4-0. You're welcome, lads ;-)

An emotional day, saying farewell to the magnificent Prof Max Murray & meeting up with good @sbohvm.gla.ac.uk friends and colleagues. Raised a glass of wine tonight while having a lovely meal with Colette at the ClockTower restaurant in Auchincruive, on the old Scottish Agricultural College estate

I really like this picture of the SRUC @srucnews.bsky.social graduation ceremony at Glasgow University @uofglasgow.bsky.social Bute Hall a couple of weeks ago. Colette and I are in the front row. The new Registered Veterinary Nurses are graduating before they take their professional declarations.

No picnic for Yogi as vet team removes kitten stuck in brick
The inquisitive kitten came out of the incident โunscathedโ after vets used a combination of muscle relaxant and lubricant to free him.
Little Yogi had to be extracted from a brick he'd got his head stuck in. The brilliant team at Clyde Vet Group used a combination of muscle relaxant and lubricant to ease him back out safely.
Great work from the vet team! ๐ #InSafeHands

Heartbroken that St Mungoโs Church and the Cottage Theatre in Cumbernauld have both burned down. These iconic places shaped my childhood, from school days and farewells at St Mungoโs to drama, bands, including Chou Pahrot & MacFloyd - music and memories at the theatre. Huge losses for the community
