The creator of the Signal messaging app has a new privacy focused AI chat bot called Confer: confer.to . I've read their blog post on how they're doing private inference and it's really impressive and cool. It should prevent them (or anyone other than you) from being able to read your chat log.

I do have equity in OpenAI so it’s wise to be skeptical of my opinions about them. FWIW, I’m considering selling my equity because I’m concerned about the ethics of their deal with Anduril. I don’t know Suchir Balaji or why he died. I hope his family get everything they need in this horrible time.

As a former OpenAI employee, no, they are not strict or punitive about criticizing the company. That’s part of why you hear so much more criticism from former OpenAI employees than employees of other companies.
