I'm really sure if it isn't Bodhi, it's Garrick. It's the only thing that makes sense to me, considering Xaden's sense of betrayal.

I'm trying not to overthink though because we have no timeline for answers πŸ₯Ή

Not off the mark, you agree with me and I like that cause my friends keep saying it's Brennan πŸ˜‚

Sadly she hasn't said much about a release date. She said she wanted to take a break and write a different book and take a summer off with her kids before doing book four 🫠 might be 2-3 years

I think the author is extremely talented, so far I'm about 50 pages in and the world building is interesting. Setting is 1830s London England, at Oxford University. The magic system hasn't fully been introduced yet, but it's extremely well researched and I think my IQ will go up after finishing it 🀣

I started Babel by RF Kuang this weekend after reading a cozy romance as a palette cleanser 🀣

I've been reading some HEAVY books lately so that break was much needed

If you're going to, make sure you read the trigger warnings first. In book one, most of the bad stuff is in one chapter but the whole series really dives into the cruelties of war and war crimes

I started this on the weekend, any advice for getting into it? I fear my IQ might need to move up a couple points 🀣 at least compared to her Poppy War books

This is your mission. We take our power back now at the local and state level. Stop waiting for a national hero. It’s you. Get to work.

Is TikTok going to be Meta in Canada or just US?

Not defending this, but APPARENTLY it's because they followed the Biden/Harris government and since they aren't in office now those accounts were removed and the existing followers were moved to the garbage (new) government

No it asks us to log in but the video is partially transparent in the background, something about dogs?

Valid take, I'd agree she writes in a more YA fashion with adult characters.

Do you read fantasy with darker themes? I'd recommend anything by R.F. Kuang if you're looking for more sophisticated writing and world building. Though she really pushes the boundary sometimes and I'd look up some TWs

I might be dead inside because some of these books that make people cry I've read and I just deadpan them.

KOA made me upset and angry and I set the book down but didn't cry

Poppy Wars series had my jaw on the floor

The Book Thief makes me cry every time but haven't read it in years

I like it overall but the conflict/jealousy trope in book 2 is annoying for sure. I'm wrapping up my reread and hope book 3 has less petty arguments

LITERALLY the only book that I can reread and still makes me cry even though I'm prepared for it

I'm trying to get all my friends over there, I love it. Been using for over a year now and it's my favourite thing

Yeah it's angering me in Canada, might delete it too like I just did my Meta Apps on solidarity
