"Near the Crystal Tower. Emperor Xande has reawakened, much to my dismay." There's a hint of bitterness in his tone at the mention of Xande.

"I shall worry about those inconveniences later. Now that you're here, I would much rather focus on you."

My lab... How exactly did you find yourself here?

"Ah, my apologies dear. My intent was not to ignore you in the slightest." He reaches for her hand, bringing it to his lips to plant a soft kiss.

"I'm attempting to decode the data stored in this Allagan Node. I found it in a rather peculiar location."

"Having spent time in Sharlyan, the Sage wings were an inspiration." The combat shell levitates in the air, its movements are similar to that of a jellyfish.

"A correct assumption, yes. It also needs a portion of its wielder's aether for proper synchronization."

[Xelor's attention from his terminal immediately shifts when he hears a thud sound]

My, quite the dramatic entrance.

Xelor hadn't realized just how distracted he was. He turns to face Dian with a softened gaze.

"How are you so skilled at finding me?"

"Most certainly. While not the most skilled at combat, this allows me a fair chance at self-defense should the need ever arise."

"You would be correct. Being in a state between living and dead means I have to be somewhat... Creative." He glances down at her with a sly smile. "As for your other question."

Xelor snaps, summoning a floating combat shell behind him it bleeps in some foreign computer language.

[Xelor is at his terminal, buried in his work per usual. He hasn't noticed Dian's arrival quite yet.]

Hmm... Very interesting.

He pushes his glasses up. "I am unable to work with voidsents. A combat shell could serve to remedy that problem, acting as a combat puppet of my own."

Xelor leads Aria into the Combat Shell Research Facility. They're tall and slender with two arms with a robotic appearance. The otter shells have a sleek and slight shine to them.

"As a being of darkness, I felt myself quite drawn to the Reaper fighting style. There was but one problem, however."

"Combat shells." He presses a button on his terminal. There's a whirring noise in the distance. What once looked like a normal wall opens up an entire section to Xelor lab.

"Would you like what they look like?" He motions the Viera to follow if she chooses.
