I'm teaching about early 20th century eugenics today and was reminded that 9 years ago Republican Representative Steve King was stripped of his committee assignments by his GOP colleagues for this post that simply states what is now bog standard GOP policy/rhetoric on immigration and "civilization."

I miss the good old days, when people said that Trump couldn't be a fascist because a defining feature of fascism is that its leaders inevitably start wars.

I voted in Dallas County today. The texas.gov site wouldn't tell me where to go, so I went to where I voted in the '24 presidential election. They said I was at the wrong place, and gave me the address I needed to go to. That place then informed me I had to go somewhere else.
