I've been reflecting some more overnight on the For Some Women Scotland case. 🧵

Every member of any marginalised group, not matter how vehemently transphobic, should be concerned by the precedent this sets: that the Supreme Court is willing to hear arguments to restrict the rights, freedoms, and protections of marginalised groups without any defence from that group.

No trans people were consulted on this decision that only affects trans people. In fact trans people were actively barred from consulting on this decision that only affects trans people. But transphobic bigots? Oh they got consulted for days.

Fucking grim. I'm absolutely fuming.

If your response to JK Rowling successfully throwing enough money at the UK courts to get them to take away basic human rights and personhood from trans women is "Well every creator is problematic at some point, I'm still reading Harry Potter," sincerely fuck off.

The British economy has been hemorrhaging ever since Brexit, corruption rampant, and yet the UK government in all it's buffoonery has decided the best use of it's time and resources was to make the lives of 0.5% of their population a public debate for nearly half a decade making lives more miserable

The National Clinical Audit of Psychosis has published its State of the Nation 2024 report based on bespoke audits from 2 cycles of data collection.

This is a report series with a long history, building on Early Intervention in Psychosis set-up phases & expansion across Eng & Wales over 3 decades 🧵

I understand the reasons - I would say I’m British Indian rather than English Indian - it might be related to passport nationality but the underlying reasons are deeply rooted in external perceptions and potentially racism. It would be hard to say I’m English and feel that is acceptable.
