05.08.2025 20:39 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'd go on a different trip, ideally with fewer pupils. But 5 nights' camping with 60 is a loooong 5 nights. I'm early 50s.
Medical and other issues and incidents almost guaranteed, statistically.
Peacock orchids, it turns out, Gladioli murielae.

05.08.2025 11:14 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yeah, I'd forgotten that I used to just get my lenses changed when my prescription changed, pre-Specsavers.
But since all public sector workers are underpaid, I'm OK with the compromise on this one. ๐ค
I couldn't afford my varifocals anywhere other than Specsavers! But I did indulge myself with a spare pair and sunglasses. CCEA marking paid for it this year. ๐

Was hairy enough at one stage but I think that's the worst of it past now in Belfast. I'll keep an eye on the nextdoor app to see if anything migrated without my knowledge.
I'm chancing getting 3 loads of washing dried.

S01 includes the battle to build the dome. I loved it all. archive.org/details/medi...
I've taken school trips there and I won't forget a 14 year old saying, as we had just passed through that very spot early in the morning while the workers were moving through and before the crowds descended, "This city just makes me happy."
It's like nowhere else I've been.

This blows my mind.
Sorry to hear that! Hope it gets sorted quickly, sounds sore.

Fantastic. I'd like to hear more from Rec David Moore, he seems like my kind of Presbyterian.

I'm sure my dad had this LP in the 70s. Absolutely iconic tunes, notably Apache.
I did! A lovely fella called Michael who knew what he was doing sorted it out, ยฃ40 well spent.

This man gave me my first teaching job in 97 when i was starting to think it wasn't the career for me and while I only worked for him for a year, he made such an impression. He was amazing and is one of the first people who comes into my head when anyone talks about qualities of a leader.

Torn today. Keen to support insect biodiversity but this is still a sorry sight!
Hoping it did enough in the first half of the year to survive the winter.
