True, I don’t think it’s a fundamental truth or anything. I’m working personally and professionally to justify narrower roads, less parking, and more transit. But it’s taking a while to get there and I think that some would otherwise choose a car for now, with worse externalities.

Definitely not an example of a place to go 28mph, but perhaps 10-15 is safe through here vs. walking pace when you couldn't see around the corner...

Speaking of fast bike problems, did at least get TICD to fix this sightline with SFMTA's help.

I'm torn on this one, would be an easier call if we had Europe's land use and infrastructure. Those things are slow to change, and I've found my Class 3 to be a useful band-aid for longer trips (much of VMT) and fast car traffic. I like to think I know when to slow down depending on context.

Muni wants exemption from CA pollution rules. It's a no-brainer. SFMTA plans to beg relief from the state's zero-emissions mandate. It’d be crazy not to ask. It’d be crazier for the state to say no.

It’s great to see misguided mandates on public transit emissions go from a policy wonk topic, to getting real attention.

$$$ goes further getting more people on transit than switching to costly and unreliable battery-only buses.

I think it's unlikely, and could risk confusing folks if that combined map goes out of sync with the MPO maps. Our plan so far is to expand our current approach to include some useful attributes for SB 79, enabling MPOs and others to use our map to help compile theirs.

Overall looks good but sadly now missing Foothill Transit - looked and it doesn't seem like we've downloaded their GTFS since August. Flagged it to the relevant team, hopefully an easy fix. Otherwise I can patch in old data with our Oct update in 1wk

Pushed an update today, need to wait on another division to do the actual open data upload but hopefully updated versions will be live by the middle of next week!

Accuracy fixes, fresher data, and should have solved the duplicate problem too but I'll keep an eye on it.

Jesus Christ. DHS has held this guy in the hospital handcuffed to a bed and under constant guard for over a MONTH without ANY warrant or even ANY steps taken towards putting him into the removal system!

There is a gulf in America. I submit it is the gulf between good and evil, or at least not-evil and evil.

The gulf is not just between people who oppose this and people who are indifferent to it or reluctantly accept it in support of immigration policy or see it as collateral damage.
