I haven't read the published version yet, but I was a beta reader, and I would have recommended the book then. I can't wait to see what it looks like now.

however, I did recently read @tananarivedue.bsky.social 's book The Reformatory, and I recommend it highly. It's not an emotionally easy read (Jim Crow South) but very worth it.
