“Contrary to what we had previously believed, the Augusta County Board of Supervisors has yet to make the final decision on whether or not Bunny Lu will be allowed to continue operating in Augusta County. We are desperately hoping that the county will take into account all of the benefits that we provide the community here. Not only does everything we do for the bunnies not cost the county a single cent, but we provide so much assistance to the government-funded shelters across all of Virginia, and even out of state, who are unable to provide the proper care for rabbits in need. Operating for over 26 years, we have saved so many lives that would have otherwise been dumped outside or euthanized in a shelter. We do not have all of the details, but from what we understand, the vote on our future will take place this Wednesday. We are asking anyone who can to email the Augusta County Board of Supervisors to show the supervisors how much support Bunny Lu has in its mission and to urge them to work toward finding a solution to allow us to continue saving lives. Emails can be sent to board@co.augusta.va.us”
