Cosmic will prob never be as popular as the other corners of Marvel Comics. I put off reading Civil War until 6 years ago…and honestly thought it was awful.

That said, it was Marvel Comics firing on all cylinders in 2006, using the entire line at once. It had vision. It felt important.

Oh yes, this is true. And short memory too.

I do want to say that I loved G.O.D.S., felt like Marvel Comics finally doing something different with an indie feel. Sadly, I think the same ole same ole is what usually sells.

It’s a bummer seeing the recent Hickman bashing over G.O.D.S., the Ultimate Spidey ending, and Imperial’s early demise. Not everything hits for everyone. But let’s not forget the incredible saga he gave us, one of my favorite stretches of story telling at Marvel Comics ever.

Marvel Comics committed to just that for a bit but have backed off it. My guess is that they are finally realizing they are losing here, changing course, and seem to be leaning on Zdarsky/Hickman for next year or 2. EiC and editorial has to change, has been rudderless.

I feel like Marvel has given up on any sort of coherent universe. They pivot and cancel series so fast and launch new #1s all the time so you can't invest in any storyline. DC doesn't seem to have that problem lately. This isn't a Marvel vs DC thing, DC has done just as badly in the past.

Library in general. They usually have a lot of TPB.

I don't know if every location is the same, but my local library is connected with several branches. You can browse the catalog and request a book online that will be delivered to the local branch for pickup.

Library is a great resource if you have access to one! The library apps are great as well.

Marvel Comics doesn’t seem to be transparent about any of it. And when creators speak to it on social media, they end up deleting their posts.
