Crazy that Driver pitched another project featuring his character and it was rejected by Iger and other Disney executives. I figured Driver was one of the ones ready to move pas on Star Wars after TROS.

of new films, plus animation, TV, books, comics etc. I know many claim The Clone Wars series "redeemed" the PT, but I'll always argue that show benefited tremendously from all the world-building and iconography already created by the PT that they could hit the ground running story wise immediately.🤷‍♂️

It'll always be a shame to me that Iger forced him off the table as a consultant and let Abrams have full control. Even if they didn't like or use all of George's ideas, just the post-ROTJ world-building he described to Paul Duncan in the SWA99-05 book was rich enough to tell more than one trilogy..

I can't believe this book came out 15 years ago. I highly recommend it.

I'm not a major SW figure collector, but when this Black Series battle damaged Vader from the OWK series was just recently announced, I thought I already had it. And yeah, sure enough.. I picked it up when he was released as a Target exclusive I think two years ago.

to the Future by picking up Michael J. Fox’s new book about juggling making the first film and his hit sitcom “Family Ties” at the same time.
Hoping to catch a 40th anniversary screening of the first movie at the end of the month.

I am thrilled though that new generations of fans will get to experience ANH on the big screen. It’s how I fell in love with SW in 1997

Maybe give it a February release date to tie in with Valentine’s Day(since a major plot point of the movie is the Anakin/Padme romance) or in September/October

I know 2027 is going to be about the re-release of ANH for its 50th anniversary and the new movie Starfighter, but I hope Disney/Lucasfilm gives us a re-release of Attack of the Clones for its 25th anniversary.

I believe this is my favorite Star Wars poster by Drew Struzan. It just captures the story of Attack of the Clones so well (along with being a great homage to the poster for Doctor Zhivago)

Awesome. I saw it the second time in IMAX, first time in Dolby. With Dolby, it felt like the songs were being played through the chairs. "Defying Gravity" was especially incredible in that format. Both myself and an older lady sitting next to me let out a huge sigh and said "Wow' at the end LOL

I haven't had a chance to watch this week's new episode, but I'm always glad when she pops up on here. The Regis Philbin online video clip "cameo" was a nice touch last week, especially considering his daughter J.J. is an executive producer on the series and Steve and Marty were both friends w/him.

Dd you purchase the movie on physical media yet? I pre-ordered it on July 11th from Amazon the exclusive steelbook and it was suppose to be released this past Tuesday. It has been sold out and customer service chat tells me I won't get it now until October 5/6. Walmart has it too but is sold out. ☹️

I still can't believe this haunting TV promo for "Revenge of the Sith" was already airing on TV a month before the film came out. It gave so much away, not just clips, but the samples of the film's haunting score. Glad they included it and other TV promos on the DVD.

Driver and Issac were already indie award darlings before SW and Driver had HBO's "Girls'. he's already incredibly lucky the narrative around MEGAPOLIS was about Coppola's 30+ year journey to write, direct and finance the movie or otherwise Driver's performance in it could have been a career killer🤣

Wow, I see "fans" attacking John Boyega and his career just because he's expressed his opinions on the Star Wars. He's an enthuastic fan too, but he's not allowed to give his opinion? As for careers, you could certainly "go there" with most of the newcomers in the ST, but why bother?
