Delighted to see my first paper in Chemical Education out in CERP. This work aimed to identify skill gaps present in first year undergraduate laboratories and identify the factors that contribute to them. #ChemEd

Yes. It can be very complex in Scotland with multiple UK education systems. The emphasis of stringent marking criteria in current secondary exams also makes widening students' evaluation skills challenging.

Give the students model data? Get them to complete only part of the write up? Get them back another day? Or design assessments that don't rely on it?
