This is Alex Pretti.

This morning he was murdered by ICE. Six ICE agents held him down and shot him at point blank range. Alex was a nurse and researcher at the VA.

Our thoughts are with his loved ones and we stand united in action calling for the abolishment of ICE.

Over the weekend ICE abducted an NIH contractor when he showed up to a courthouse for his green card hearing. He is documented. His wife is a citizen.

He is also member of the skeleton crew of animal care staff that works through a shutdown, to ensure the health and wellbeing of research animals.

I am deeply saddened and angered by news that more NIH RIFs may happen next week. This is unacceptable, especially after NIH staff have worked nights & weekends to dig out from the backlog created by this admin's incompetence.

Ursprünglich als „Schuldenpaket“ bezeichnet, wurde der Begriff offenbar zu „Investitionspaket“ korrigiert. Das Paket betrifft Investitionen in Bundeswehr und Infrastruktur und erforderte eine Zweidrittelmehrheit, da die Schuldenbremse im Grundgesetz geändert wurde. Die Zustimmung im Bundestag war hoch, nun muss noch der Bundesrat zustimmen.
