The endoribonuclease Rae1 from Bacillus subtilis cleaves mRNA upstream of stalled ribosomes
Abstract. The ribosome-associated endoribonuclease 1 (Rae1) cleaves messenger RNAs (mRNAs) in a translation-dependent manner. Here, we identify a new Rae1
🎉 Very excited to see our latest research published in @narjournal.bsky.social !! 🎉
We unvieled the mechanistic of the RNase Rae1 in B. subtilis, cleaving mRNA upstream of stalled ribosomes at their tail end !
Congrats to all the teammates for the huge work ! ✨

New preprint from our lab !
We have identify a new target of the endoribonuclease Rae1, flyY, and found that this RNase strictly cleaves its known targets 12nt upstream of stalled ribosomes, at their tailed end.
