Every person who has ever experienced or studied domestic violence can easily recognize the punishment, gaslighting, and cruelty that Trump is exacting by withdrawing aid to Ukraine until it proves it really wants peace. It is disgusting and unforgivable.

2/5 People might think that DOGE is a good thing. "Cleaning up fraud and waste", they might say. "Indoctrination" they will shout. Let me tell you about this grant. It was aimed at preparing and sustaining teachers for Nebraska schools & communities. It addressed the teacher shortage.

White House pauses all federal grants, sparking confusion The Trump administration has put a hold on all federal financial grants and loans, affecting tens of billions of dollars in payments.

I think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service.

“Pausing” grants means people don’t eat.
