that's really odd.. my kamvas 12 has the same deal with a usb c to tablet and power/hdmi/usb on the other side
no issues ever, the cable is even in like bad shape peeled a bit after 6 yrs ish, but working to this day (even though the pen input drifts a bit hence i don't use it)

Warning to all Samsung tab users that might see this, OneUi 8 entirely removes classic dex, and just gives you a very terrible dex that is just the normal android ui plus windows.
It also gets rid of unlocking bootloader, can't root or change os at a later date, just do not update.

I am pretty sure VR depends on the headset a lot, I use a pico 4 and it'sss spotty, not the best out there by any means, but for most common headsets it seems that a lot of projects got better at linux support over time
