I just realized that when I turn 51 next month I can start saying my age like Aragorn saying he is 87 when people get all incredulous about me being over 50.

It’s weird for me because I have aged about 15 years in the last 5 and now look like I’m in my mid 50s much of the time.

There was a really good turnout in my small town this year, dispite the rain and cold. I think people just wanted to be together.

I also had my hair down and wore this old, heavy, wool cape that used to belong to a priest.

All I did was grab a 38 year old witch hat and wear my regular winter going out clothes. I pretty much dress like a bog witch in the winter and a woodland fairy / ranger in the summer. My normal closet costume actually is ranger, an I can do a winter version. But I was tired. Bog witch is comfy.

Awe man, I JUST realized that I didn’t need to worry about finding a dress (I had one in college that would have been perfect). I could have just worn a black shirt of any kind and a narrow black skirt and just brushed my hair as straight as I could and had my kid do the rest with makeup. Dammit.

My kid dressed as Wednesday Addams and you know I’ve been tired lately because I didn’t even try to pull together a Morticia.

Power back on in less than three hours, pretty good!
My air purifiers did not like my candles though. It did take me a couple tries to snuff one of them. Makes me cringe when I think of the years of my life I would burn 3 candles for hours every day.

There has been a noise that has been really bugging me lately. A low rumble like maybe some kind of motor like a fan motor on a wooden desk or something. I can’t track it down. I have tried turning all kinds of things off. The power went out. I can still hear it. Wtf.

The power went out just as I was about to make dinner (yes, at 11:30 pm) so we are having the rest of the kid’s post surgery ice cream for dinner.
