Post-dinner, Professor Rob Poole ( @bangoruniversity.bsky.social ) gave an interesting talk on his experience on panels & own unconventional research career. Our participants explored the nearby village, Hawarden, including the ruins of the Hawarden Old Castle (and saw some sheep π).

On day 2, participants were fully immersed in their writing, enjoying the reading room, dedicated stretching sessions & sunny weather! βοΈ
Dr Jacobsen & Dr Hyndman held 1-to-1 surgery sessions to give feedback on applications. Participants also discussed their research with RSS methodologists.
