As far as signing MLB free agents, there was Tyler O'Neill just last year.

(not trying to play gotcha here, real question) What makes him Rule 5 eligible? Have only ever understood the criteria to be based on age when signing as a pro. The deadline to protect was three days ago in any case.

They averaged him fewer than 4 IP/G for the season so it seems like they know that starting isn't his future. But then they just weirdly drag their feet about actually converting guys to relievers.

Watching the 2025 Orioles season play out and then developing a plan that requires people to commit even MORE money and time to hang onto their season tickets for next year is (as is oft remarked to Cotton) a bold strategy.

Mike Elias deserves to have someone screaming "Where's Wallace, String?" at him, except about Dylan Beavers instead.

On the Pipeline listed as NR, I think Pipeline had probably already yoinked Watts-Brown over to the Orioles by the time you looked. He was #10 there when I checked earlier and is now #8 in the O's system.
