I’m applying for an MFA program (just one because I can’t take anymore rejection than that) because their applications are still open and what have I got to lose?

Oh but how does one keep going in the face of so much rejection?

Something has to give. At this point it might very well be me because I don’t know how much more of this I can take.

I have my interview for my dream job tomorrow at the company I’ve been with for a few years now. If I get it I am getting a head tattoo.

Seroma drained 👍

Guess who has lost weight during their top surgery recovery—this is bad btw. My compression garment became too loose and now I have a seroma from a lack of compression. It’s getting drained to tomorrow and I will be getting a tighter binder 🥲👍

1 week post op. Still in my compression binder. Still so swollen. But for the first time in my life I am looking at myself.

Nearly a year ago to the day I was rejected from 5 MFA programs in one day. Today I watched my partner watch my dog while I went into a cafe to get us a nice breakfast treat. Life is strange. The grief I carry from those rejections is still heavy, but to have someone who loves me makes it less so.

Does the law school worm come for all English majors eventually?

Sorry if I am a menace for the next several months (2 months), less then a month away from the anniversary of getting rejected from every grad program I applied for.
