I’m horrified by Trump’s order to send 300 National Guard troops to Chicago. We’re only nine months into a four year term and already the president is trying to invade an American city. If you’re in the Guard, you can and should refuse these orders.

Coding interviews are a whole beast of their own tbh, people literally grind leetcode to prep bc that's how orgs interview.

Somehow it's a better use of time to put yourself through the meat grinder of 100's of toy problems instead of, solving real problems and building real projects. It's whack.

and live coding interviews that opened with "don't worry about syntax" before ending early during the session because actually they cared about syntax very much

Some of my experiences with take home tests and live coding have also been kind of a nightmare. The worst were extremely vague prompts that basically asked for an entire game within the span of a week (unpaid ofc),
