The demand side could be addressed by making it hard/impossible to remain when the poor souls arrive at their chosen destination. It’s hard and people will suffer. The Supply side needs a concerted effort by the whole of the European continent to shut down all unofficial routes to the U.K.

I am lead to believe that Trump has a number of seriously high hurdles to overcome in his fight with the BBC.

I can’t see a successful outcome for Trump. Yes the speech was edited but he said those things & incited the insurrectionists to storm the Capitol. He will have to prove he didn’t say what he said and somehow the BBC caused him reputational damage that hadn’t already occurred. A tall order.

The thing is Trump said the things that have lead to this controversy. He may have said them in a different order to the way they were presented but he did say them and in the same speech. Given his inability to order and articulate his thoughts in a logical sequence the edit was justified.

If I needed to travel in America I wouldn’t fly. Even if air traffic controllers turn up for work their concentration levels must impaired because of lack of wholesome food and concern for their families and financial wellbeing.
